Dental Zone recognized the need for a fresh start with a new practice manager and several new employees joining their team. Tell us about your background

Dr Irwind: We established the office in 2020 so it's been four years now, I am a very family-orientated person so I have tried to create an office environment that reflects this and makes all patients feel comfortable. Within the practice we have four team members, and two chairs: Jass is our manager, then we have Simerjit as our receptionist, two hygienists and one CDS at the moment.  

Jass: So I've been in the dental field for over 20 years now. I was a hygienist; I still do hygiene here and there but I've transitioned to office managing over the past 8 years. I have just joined Dr Irwind here in March as a full-time office manager. 

What made you transition from Dentrix to Dentally?  

Dr. Irwind: For me personally, the fact that Dentally is cloud-based makes a big difference, I feel like everything is quicker and more efficient. The other reason why we wanted to switch is because I feel like Dentrix is outdated, slower, and just not as pleasing to look at compared to other softwares out there.

Jass: We needed a fresh start as we had some new faces coming into the practice and felt that Dentally was the appropriate choice.

How did you find the onboarding experience?

Dr. Irwind: It was perfect for me I had no issues, and the training I received from the Dentally team was great. Whether it was a straightforward task like entering a patient into the system or a more complex process like managing insurance, I encountered no difficulties in utilizing the platform.

Jass: The rest of the team picked it up quickly too, even those who have been working part-time, the onboarding has been a good experience. 

Have you visited the Help Centre? If so, how did you find it?  

Jass: Yes I’ve used the live chat function, everyone is super helpful and they have been able to resolve my issues.

What would you say are the key benefits of Dentally? 

Dr. Irwind: For me as a person, I like having people who communicate, give me an honest opinion, and then use the honest feedback that I’ve given to improve things. I would say I’ve had that from day one with Dentally. The feedback we provide is never lost; it is actively used to drive changes, and we receive updates on how that feedback has been implemented.

Jass: I really enjoy the fact that the Dentally team listens to the feedback and tries to help in whichever way you can.
