Centre Street Dental is a private practice based in Casino, NSW. Principal dentist, Greg Normoyle, began practising in Casino in January of 1990, with Centre Street Dental opening in January 2001. After constructing a purpose-built practice, Centre Street Dental moved to its current location in December 2010.
We were moved onto Dentally due to the sunsetting of Dentrix Ascend.
Moving to Dentally was a very well-orchestrated process. The data transfer was quite seamless. The training modules were very useful as a starter into the new software. The best thing about the transition was the use of the Dentally sandbox for the training. I have not had this kind of process with any other dental software and made the ‘Live Day’ so much easier because we had had the opportunity to practice in a ‘real world’ sense.
Dentally is a very intuitive program that is very easy to navigate. As a clinician, the charting is very easy. The hover charting function is particularly useful. Treatment planning is very systematic and easy to organise. From an administration perspective, this software has been a game-changer. The online accessibility with dedicated email and SMS appointment confirmation processes through to the automatic sending of medical history updates has significantly reduced the amount of admin time used in these areas. The reporting function is the most customisable that I have encountered. Overall, this software is the best dental software that I have used.
I see the key benefits of Dentally being in the front desk and admin features. As mentioned above, the online accessibility is awesome. The online booking is totally customisable to each clinician. The reporting systems are amazing and allow us to measure all our KPI’s easily. They also allow us to target specific time frames for the reactivation of patients which is really useful. The Elevate Programme has been another game-changer for the practice. Our monthly consult calls have given us a means of focusing on the numbers/KPI’s when we otherwise may have let these areas slip due to a perceived lack of time.
